Adjunct faculty
Adjunct faculty teach online courses from their own country, supported by the University’s learning platform and academic staff. We welcome applications from experienced academics and professionals with a relevant postgraduate degree.
Professorial appointment
Professorial positions are awarded to scholars with a sustained record of teaching, research and publication, following review by the University’s appointments committee.
Honorary doctorate
An honorary doctorate may be awarded to someone who has achieved eminence in cultural affairs, public service, or a field of knowledge consistent with the ideals of the University, with emphasis on sustained lifetime achievement.
- Nominations are confidential, and nothing is disclosed until after the Board of Regents has reviewed them and the nominee has been invited.
- A nomination form and biography are sent to info@pu-edu.us by the published deadline.
- The Honorary Award Committee reviews every nomination and makes recommendations to the Board of Regents.
- Degrees are conferred at a regular commencement ceremony. As a rule, no one receives more than one honorary degree from the University.
