Entry requirements
What you need to apply at each level. There is no general entrance examination, and applications are open all year.
Bachelor’s degrees
- Proof of secondary school completion: an official transcript or certificate (for example WAEC, NECO, GCE or a high school diploma), sent by the school or ministry of education.
- A one to two page statement explaining why you want to study the degree.
- Transcripts of any college or university study you have already done. You can ask for this study to count towards your degree through a credit transfer petition.
Master’s degrees and MBAs
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, with at least a Second Class Lower (or equivalent), in the same or a related field.
- With a lower class of degree, you can still be considered if you also hold a relevant postgraduate diploma or have five years of professional experience.
- Official transcripts from your previous university, and a statement of purpose.
Doctorate (PhD) by research
- A master’s degree in the same or a related field.
- A research proposal outlining your topic, questions and methods.
- Your CV, any publications or research experience, and two academic or professional references.
Certificate courses
- A secondary school certificate. No previous degree or professional experience is needed, unless a course lists a prerequisite.

- English proficiency certificate, if your previous study was not in English
Only official or certified documents are accepted. Documents from outside the United States should come from the issuing institution or ministry of education.
Fees and scholarships
Fees are set each semester in the student portal and shown on every programme page, in your own currency.
Tuition-free scholarship
Full tuition for eligible Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate students from our target group countries. Administrative charges still apply. Mention the scholarship when you apply and Admissions will confirm your eligibility.
Paying your fees
- Pay online by card, bank transfer or mobile money in the student portal.
- See every invoice in your own currency.
- Payment plans are available for eligible fees.
- Every payment gets a receipt with a verification code.
